Advent days 11-24

I took a bit more a blog hiatus than I had originally intended, but we had/are having a lovely holiday. We’re not quite done celebrating since we decided to include the Icelandic Christmas trolls this year, a leftover from my own childhood, and we won’t wrap up until January 5th. Here’s what we did for the rest of our advent calendar:

We made these cute little egg-carton penguins (inspired by a picture I saw on Kiwi Crate although we changed it somewhat)

We made some silly pancakes on Christmas eve

But kept the Christmas menu simple

Brady made out like a bandit, but we didn’t give him anything (except candy and a few stocking stuffers) that wasn’t second-hand, homemade, or a combo of both (I got those legos/base plates on Etsy and attached them to the back of his existing train table, all of the Xbox stuff/instruments we bought from a friend. The batcave is from Gramma and Papa)

And since Christmas we have been treated to a LOT of this

I hope you all had wonderful Decembers as well. We’ll be back to school on Wednesday so I should have a wrap up for you this coming weekend. Happy New Year, guys.
