Today was pretty low-key. I spent a lot of the day working on Christmas gifts and school consisted mostly of a School House Rock video on money and some reading time, I’m also going to count the time Brady spent talking to his Gramma on Skype as spelling practice since he ends up typing most of his end of the conversation these days. Our advent activity was to make cookies and Brady chose Russian teacakes. We used rice flour to make them gluten free and, if you do the same, start out with probably 1 3/4 cups and add a little at a time until it holds together since the rice flour tends to be dryer than wheat (or use an all purpose gf blend and you can sub it 1:1).
We ended the night watching The Polar Express and reading a (rhyming, kid’s version of ) “A Christmas Carol”
